Hello everyone, I pray you are all doing well. I have an encouraging post that I would like to share with you all. I believe that in times like the ones we are currently in, we need encouragement. Before we begin, I hope you have your hot cup of tea or coffee with you.
With the new school year just around the corner, I found myself feeling melancholy about another new year. The anticipation and uncertainty of beginning a new year was beginning to be overwhelming. This past Sunday morning, I was sitting in my bed silently praying to Adonai asking Him, "How can I begin a new school year feeling like this?" "Please Adonai, I need to You to change my perspective about this year." As I was praying, these two words came to my mind, "Live colorfully." I thought, "What does this mean, are we talking a Kate Spade commercial?" So, I began looking up what this means and it had to do with the promises of God. I immediately thought of the rainbow and thought, "Hmmm, okay, now what do you want me to do?" Next thing you know, I was browsing Amazon and I came across these beautiful, colorful earrings that I thought were too cute and had to have them. Then that's when it hit me again, "Live colorfully."
You may be thinking, I still do not understand what you mean, please allow me to explain. When I began researching these two words, I found out it's a change of perspective and you actually enjoy living each moment instead of wishing your life away like I have been so guilty of doing over the years. You also look for His hand in your life and see the beauty of each moment and find the positive instead of dwelling on the negative. You also are reminded of the personal promises that He has made to you and the covenant that He established from the very beginning. You cherish each moment and smile and spread joy and kindness which is so needed in our world today. You may be thinking so am I supposed to ignore what is happening in the world? No, I am simply saying, we are to think on things that are lovely, kind, positive, loving, godly, etc. We are not to be like an ostrich and stick our heads in the ground and pretend like nothing bad is happening, no we are to pray about those things, but keep our eyes fixed on the Author and Finisher of our emunah, our faith.I want you to be encouraged, don't allow the world to pass you by or a moment because you will never get that moment back. Cherish each moment and live colorfully for Him and smile like it may be your last time smiling. Make every moment count for Him because He is worth our every moment of living! Until next time and Am Yisrael Chai!
